Where can I get a copy of my lease?
Copies are included during the move in process. Additional copies can be provided through a Leasing Consultant. We ask that you give 24 hours notice to pull your file and make a copy.

How long is my lease?
The lease agreement extends for a 12 month period and is considered month-to-month thereafter. A military clause exists for PCS or marital separation.

What are the rental rates?
Housing rates are equal to the highest ranking member's With Dependent Rate Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH). 

How long can visitors stay in my home?
Written request must be submitted to the Tierra Vista Communities housing office for approval for visitors staying beyond 30 days. Occupancy of family housing units by more than one family is not authorized.

Who takes care of my yard?
We have a private contractor who is responsible for maintaining the front and sides yards and common areas of Tierra Vista Communities. It is the Military Member's responsibility to maintain their enclosed backyard as well as any flower beds.

Are pets allowed?
No more than 2 pets (besides those in cages or aquariums) per household are allowed, with the exception of puppies/kittens up to 8 weeks of age. No breed of Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Pit Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, Chow Chow, Presa Canario, Cane Corso, Wolf or Wolf Hybrids, Doberman Pincher, American Staffordshire Terrier or Neapolitan Mastiff are allowed within TVC. What is there to do here?

Who would I call to report suspicious activity?
Incidents, complaints and inquiries concerning law enforcement should be directed to the 50 SFS Control Center at (719) 567-5642. If the situation warrants, we would then like you to notify your Community Management Staff at (719) 683-3660 of your concerns. We urge residents to be "community minded" and to call about any matter, which could affect or concern our residents.

Am I covered by your insurance?
TVC will make Renter’s Insurance available to the residents. The policy will provide $20,000 personal property and $100,000 liability coverage with a $250 deductible. Residents are encouraged to obtain supplemental insurance coverage.

Who has access to my home?
TVC reserves the right to enter your house under reasonable circumstances. In all but emergency situations, you will be notified a minimum of 48 hours before scheduled entry.

Arriving Residents

Can we select a home or is one assigned?
You can most certainly let your representative know which home styles you are interested in. They will do their best to try and fit your needs and interests. Just make sure you choose a home style that is within your rank and family size.

Do I need Renter's Insurance?
Rental insurance is included as part of your BAH, it is optional to keep your own as well.

Public Private Venture

How is PPV different from military housing?
The housing is leased and managed by a private company. Service Members will sign a lease. Service Members receive basic allowance for housing (BAH), however, under PPV the BAH is paid to the landlord through their normally BAH forfeiture process.
