General Information About Peterson AFB
Peterson Air Force Base and our Tierra Vista homes are located along the rolling prairie of the Colorado Mountains. There are many family-oriented places to spend your free time, from sports to outdoor adventure. Schools
There are over 10 school districts in the Colorado Springs area. You are highly encouraged to carefully review the district and school web sites before purchasing or renting a home. Some school districts are quite large and schools within that district can vary greatly on test scores, graduation rates, etc. Feeder schools for Peterson AFB are Christa McAuliffe Elementary School, Jack Swigert Aerospace Academy (middle school), Mann and North Middle Schools, and Mitchell High School. Children must be 5 years old on or before 01 Oct to enroll in kindergarten.
