In March 2007, the U.S. Air Force selected Lend Lease as its partner to develop, build, renovate, finance and maintain 1,466 homes in Tierra Vista. The new masterplanned community includes Schriever, Peterson and Los Angeles Air Force Bases, all part of Air Force Space Command.
The new and renovated homes of Tierra Vista will represent the finest of Air Force community living. Neighborhoods will include pedestrian-friendly streets, new, spacious Community Centers, hiking and biking trails and a variety of amenities focused on easing the lives of Air Force families.
The family housing at Tierra Vista will feature state-of-the-art design and technology, incorporating the most modern and efficient construction techniques and processes, with environmental sustainability integrated into every aspect of design. New homes will include spacious kitchens with islands and ENERGY STAR appliances, home office space with technology niches, as well as covered porches and patios for integrating indoor/outdoor living. Once completed, these high-quality, modern and inviting homes will serve as a recruiting and retention tool, attracting and retaining talented individuals to the Air Force.
